Extract
A collection of fish remains from the carboniferous strata of the West of Scotland, including fine examples of Megalichthys Hibberti, and an undescribed species of the same genus; jaws with teeth of Rhizodus sauroides—these last being among the finest yet found in the Lanarkshire coal-field; and also numerous specimens of palatal teeth, and bones of placoid fishes of the genera Cochliodus, Petalodus, and Ctenodus, all of which were briefly described.
